Police Search for the Driver after Hit-And-Run Crash on Grattan Street in Westlake

Westlake, CA (June 24, 2022) – Monday afternoon, David Salazar sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash at the intersection of Grattan Street and James M. Wood Boulevard.

Los Angeles Police said a video captured a  light-colored van striking Salazar and knocking him off his bike.

The driver then stopped but got back in the car and took off.

Salazar said “that wasn’t right… He left me for dead, really. That’s what I see.”

The bicyclist suffered a large cut to his head and had to receive several stitches as a result.

 Authorities are still searching for a hit-and-run driver.
