David Knight Killed in Accident on Highway 299 and Corral Bottom Road [Trinity County, CA]

1 Dead in Trinity County Crash on Highway 299

 
TRINITY COUNTY, CA (September 13, 2020) – Saturday morning, David Knight died in an accident on Highway 299.
 
According to reports, at around 4:30 a.m., 59-year-old David Knight drove a Ford F650 eastbound on Highway 299. The driver was traveling west of Corral Bottom Road at an unidentified speed.
 
Then, David Knight let the Ford F650 drove across the double yellow line while driving a right bearing curve in the roadway.
 
Afterward, the Ford went off the north roadway edge of Highway 299 and crashed with a steep rock embankment. Eventually, the Ford landed on its wheels, facing east on the north shoulder of Highway 299.
 
As a result, David Knight suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
 
Meanwhile, authorities shut down the westbound lane of Highway 299 for around three hours with one-way traffic control in effect. Furthermore, the authorities haven’t confirmed whether alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
