David Katon of Kennewick Arrested in West Clearwater Avenue Collision [Kennewick, WA]

Red Lion Inn & Suites Traffic Collision Results in Injury

Kennewick, WA (November 28, 2023) – 38-year-old David Katon of Kennewick was arrested and an officer was injured following a West Clearwater Avenue collision Saturday night.

It was about 11:15 p.m. when Kennewick Police Department officers spotted a car in the parking lot of the Red Lion Inn & Suites in the 5600 block area.

The officers recognized the vehicle as one of the vehicles Katon drives. 

The authorities tried to arrest Katon but he had a firearm.

Moreover, the Kennewick Police Department officers said Katon tried to escape by getting in his car and driving away. However, Katon had struck an officer with his car.

Later on, the authorities were able to stop Katon’s vehicle in the area of West 10th Avenue and U.S. 395. They arrested him on suspicion of second-degree assault, attempting to elude, identity theft, driving without a license, obstruction, and resisting arrest.
