David Foxworth Dies, Five Injured in Vehicle Crash on Interstate 10

Whitewater, CA (December 3, 2020) – On Wednesday, 58-year-old David Foxworth of Banning died, while five people were injured in a vehicle crash on Interstate 10.

The fatal crash occurred before 5 p.m. west of Haugen-Lehmann Way.

When officers arrived, they found an overturned Chevrolet Suburban on the roadway.

Authorities said the family was heading east “when the left rear tire rapidly deflated and the driver turned the vehicle to the right.”

Foxworth lost control as the SUV spun and slid across four lanes through a fence along the south side of the freeway. Then, the vehicle finally stopped on Railroad Avenue, which is parallel to Interstate 10.

The authorities pronounced Foxworth dead at 5:20 P.M.

Meanwhile, five other people inside the vehicle sustained injuries described as minor to moderate. They included two adults ages 37 and 20. Also, there are three children ages 7, 11, and 15.

All occupants were wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash. Also, investigators said drugs and alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the accident.

Furthermore, Interstate 10 traffic was not affected by the crash. Police continue to investigate the incident.
