56-Year-Old Daria Klos of Port Orchard Fatally Struck on Sedgwick Road

 
Port Orchard, WA (February 23, 2021) – On Friday, 56-year-old Daria Klos of Port Orchard was struck and killed by a vehicle on Sedgwick Road.
 
The fatal accident happened on State Route 160 at about 6:00 P.M.
 
Apparently, Klos was driving a 2006 Toyota 4Runner. She stopped in the eastbound lane of Sedgwick Road and attempted to stop traffic.
 
She was struck by her own vehicle after it was hit by an eastbound 2009 Hyundai Elantra. As a result, Klos was thrown out of the roadway.
 
Subsequently, the Elantra spun across the westbound lane of traffic and struck the front of a 2009 Ford Taurus.
 
Immediately, rescuers took her to Tacoma General Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
 
On the other hand, rescuers took the Elantra driver, a 74-year-old Port Orchard man to Tacoma General Hospital with injuries.
 
The 2009 Ford Taurus driver, a 29-year-old Tacoma man was not injured in the accident.
 
Meanwhile, officers said none of the drivers were under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
