Danny Gonzales Struck and Killed after Riverside Pedestrian Accident

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (June 26, 2019) – Officers identified the man struck and killed while lying on the roadway in Riverside as Danny Gonzales.
 
The Riverside Police Department said they received a call about the crash at around 9:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 23. It happened near the area of Spruce Street and Atlanta Avenue.
 
 
A white Lexus moving west on Spruce Street crashed into Gonzales who was lying in the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk. The 26-year-old Riverside man died at the scene.
 
Officials said the driver remained at the scene and then cooperated with investigators.
 
Police stated that the Major Accident Investigation Team is conducting the investigation. Officials urge anyone who may have witnessed the incident or someone with information to call Riverside Police Detective Jeffrey Derouin at 951-826-8722.
