Highway 89 Crash Injures Redding Man D Kuykendall of Redding

Plumas, CA (April 13, 2021) – On Sunday, 53-year-old D Kuykendall of Redding and 53-year-old L Jaimes of Greenville, were injured in a head-on crash on Highway 89.

Apparently, Kuykendall was southbound on a 2011 Harley Davidson on Highway 89, south of the Dawn Community Center. His speed was at 55 mph.

At the same time, Jaimes was northbound on her 2013 Kia on Highway 89. Her speed was at 55-60 mph.

Moreover, Kuykendall navigated around a 30 mph curve and crossed the double-parallel solid yellow centerline. He went into the path of the Kia.

Both Kuykendall and Jaimes tried to avoid crashing, however, the motorcycle’s front struck the front of the Kia.

Kuykendall was thrown from his motorcycle and landed in the southbound lane, to the left of the Kia, and suffered major injuries.

Right away, responders took him to Renown Medical Center.

On the other hand, Jaimes suffered minor injuries. He was transported to Plumas District Hospital.

Simply following safety driving rules could saves lives.

Dealing With Crash Injuries

Furthermore, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said that two out of three motorists will be a part of an injury accident during their life. Thus, knowing what to do in case you find yourself involved in a traffic collision is really a must.

As a matter of fact, roadways, while scrupulously created and mapped for efficient travel, are one of the most dangerous settings.

The most valuable step you can take in response to a vehicle crash is hiring a personal injury attorney. Personal injury attorneys prioritize your recovery while securing your future from further losses a severe accident can bring.

Thus, “hiring the right firm, who has the resources to spend, can make all the difference between getting justice for a client,” says Mark Sweet, a personal injury attorney at Sweet Lawyers.
