1 Dead in Bicycle-Car Crash at Evans Avenue Intersection
DENVER, CO (June 6, 2018) – A cyclist was fatally injured in an accident on Santa Fe Drive in south Denver, late Wednesday afternoon. The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
The collision took place around 11:30 AM, at the intersection of South Santa Fe Drive and West Evans Avenue. Denver Police and emergency personnel arrived at the scene to find the bike rider with life-threatening injuries.
A short while after, the cyclist succumbed to their injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported in the incident, and the driver remained at the scene to cooperate with officials during their investigation.
There is no additional information on the events leading up to the accident, but authorities continue to investigate the fatal crash to determine the cause.
