2 People Hurt in Yuma County Auto Accident on S Somerton Avenue
YUMA COUNTY, AZ (September 28, 2023) – Tuesday morning, a crippling two-vehicle crash on S Somerton Avenue injured two people.
Reports revealed that the incident happened at around 4:50 a.m. in the 12-600 block of S. Somerton Avenue.
According to the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office, a Ford F-150 collided with a semi-truck that was pulling out of a private driveway.
Moreover, responders airlifted the Ford driver to a Phoenix area hospital with major injuries. Also, a passenger of the pickup truck sustained minor injuries while the semi-truck’s driver was not hurt in the incident.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office continued to investigate the crash.
