BAKERSFIELD, CA (June 12, 2023) – Sunday night, a crippling single-vehicle crash on Noriega Road near Polo Park injured 4 people.

The incident happened just after 10:30 p.m. on Noriega Road near Polo Park.

According to the Bakersfield Police Department, an officer noticed a Dodge Challenger recklessly driving in the grass at Polo Park. Thus, the officer signaled the unlicensed teen driver of the Challenger. However, the vehicle escaped from the park and continued east on Noriega Road.

Then, it lost control and crashed into a tree.

After the crash, responders transported four teen occupants to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Moreover, the front passenger failed to wear a seat belt and sustained serious injuries. Reports confirmed that the boy was in critical but stable condition.
