REDDING, CA (December 31, 2023) – Saturday morning, a crippling pedestrian crash on Hilltop Drive injured one person.

The incident happened at around 6:17 a.m. on Hilltop Drive.

According to the Redding Police Department, a northbound sedan struck a male pedestrian who was wearing dark clothing and ran at the front of the vehicle outside a marked crosswalk.

Moreover, responders rushed the pedestrian to a local hospital with major injuries.

Furthermore, authorities do not believe that speed, drugs, or alcohol played a role in the incident.
