Man Hospitalized in Valley Springs Pedestrian Accident on Highway 26 near La Contenta Golf Course

VALLEY SPRINGS, CA (February 8, 2024) – Wednesday morning, a crippling pedestrian crash on Highway 26 near La Contenta Golf Course injured one person.

The incident happened at around 3:30 a.m. on Highway 26 near La Contenta Golf Course, in Calaveras County.

According to the Calaveras Consolidated Fire Department, a vehicle struck a male pedestrian who was standing in the roadway for still unknown reasons.

Moreover, responders transported the man to Central Valley with major injuries.

Furthermore, authorities confirmed that the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was not hurt in the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
