ABILENE, TX (February 25, 2025) – Monday afternoon, a man in a motorized wheelchair sustained injuries in a crippling pedestrian crash on Glendale Drive.

The incident happened just before 4:30 p.m. on Glendale Drive and North 10th Street.

An Abilene officer reported that the man was traveling east when a truck, stopped at a sign, failed to see him, moved forward, and hit him.

He sustained non-life-threatening injuries. 

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
