VISALIA, CA (February 24, 2025) – Early Sunday morning, a person suffered injuries in a crippling pedestrian crash on Divisadero Street and Houston Avenue.

The incident happened just before 3:15 a.m. on Divisadero Street and Houston Avenue.

Authorities report that the driver was heading west on Houston when he struck a pedestrian before crashing into a pole.

The pedestrian sustained severe injuries and was transported to Kaweah Health. The VPD traffic unit took over the investigation.

Police determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol and took him into custody.
