1 Person Hospitalized in Fresno Pedestrian Accident on Belmont Avenue and Abby Street
FRESNO, CA (October 1, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, a crippling pedestrian crash on Belmont Avenue and Abby Street injures one person.
Reports said that the incident happened at around 4:30 p.m. on Belmont Avenue and Abby Street.
According to the Fresno Police Department, an eastbound vehicle struck a male child who left the center divider southbound on Abby Street. Also, officers said that the boy was with his family collecting money for their grandmother’s funeral when the incident occurred.
Moreover, responders rushed the 10-year-old boy to a local hospital in critical condition.
Furthermore, officers confirmed that the vehicle’s driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the authorities.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
