Injuries Reported in Riverside Pedestrian Accident on Arlington Avenue and Ben Lomond Way
RIVERSIDE, CA (April 3, 2025) – Wednesday afternoon, a crippling pedestrian crash on Arlington Avenue and Ben Lomond Way injured 1.
The incident happened just after 1:00 p.m. on Arlington Avenue and Ben Lomond Way, near Riverside Municipal Airport.
Reports revealed that a woman sustained life-threatening injuries after being struck by a sedan while crossing the street.
According to Sgt. Emilio Angulo, the victim was in a crosswalk on Arlington Avenue when a 2005 Toyota Corolla, driven by a 25-year-old man, hit her. The driver, who was not injured, remained at the scene.
Paramedics transported the woman to Riverside Community Hospital, where she was listed in critical condition as of Wednesday afternoon.
Authorities questioned the driver but did not make an arrest. Angulo stated that alcohol and drugs do not appear to have played a role in the crash.
