Injuries Reported in Hollister Pedestrian Accident on 7th Street and San Benito Street
HOLLISTER, CA (October 24, 2023) – Sunday night, a crippling pedestrian crash on 7th Street and San Benito Street injured 1 person.
The crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian happened at about 9:45 p.m. at a Chevron gas station on 7th Street and San Benito Street.
According to a witness, the victim who was riding his bike left the scene and went to Hazel Hawkins Hospital.
When officers came to the hospital, they found out that the victim had an argument with two men who were in a pickup truck at the Chevron gas station.
Then, the two men in a truck followed the bicyclist to the 300 block of Swope Alley where they ran over the rider and dragged the victim before escaping the scene.
As a result, the male adult sustained head injuries but is expected to survive.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
