Traffic Stalled after Sacramento County Multi-Vehicle Accident on Interstate 5 and Twin Cities Road

SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (December 2, 2024) – Saturday night, a crippling multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 5 blocked lanes.

The crash involving multiple vehicles occurred at about 6:30 p.m. on Interstate 5 and Twin Cities Road.

Caltrans reported that all northbound lanes were closed due to the crash and recommended drivers take Highway 99 as an alternate route. 

The number of vehicles involved in the incident remains unclear. Eventually, the lanes on Interstate 5 were reopened.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
