Injuries Reported in Paramount Multi-Vehicle Accident on E Alondra Boulevard and S Garfield Avenue

PARAMOUNT, CA (August 9, 2023) – Tuesday morning, a crippling multi-vehicle crash on E Alondra Boulevard and S Garfield Avenue injured 4 people.

The incident happened shortly before 12:15 a.m. on E Alondra Boulevard and S Garfield Avenue.

Moreover, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lakewood Station deputies and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel came to the scene.

When they arrived, they found one unresponsive male adult in a red older model sedan, trapped within the wreckage.

Thus, firefighters used the Jaws of Life to open the door and free the patient.

Then, responders took the patient to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Moreover, the driver of the white jeep, which plowed into a light standard on the opposite side of the road after striking the red sedan, was also taken to the hospital with major injuries. Officers noted that the Jeep driver remained responsive.

Also, responders assessed two parties from a black sedan for major injuries. However, the authorities haven’t clarified whether they were taken to the hospital.

Moreover, the authorities shut down Alondra Boulevard in all directions just east of Garfield Avenue pending further investigation.

Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
