Injuries Reported in Austin Motorcycle Accident on Mopac Expressway

AUSTIN, TX (May 8, 2025) – Wednesday morning, a crippling hit-and-run crash on Mopac Expressway injured a motorcyclist.

The incident involving a motorcycle and a Toyota Camry occurred just after 3:30 a.m. on Mopac Expressway.

After the crash, the northbound lanes were closed from Westover to 35th Street.

Meanwhile, police confirmed that the Toyota Camry driver escaped the crash scene.

Moreover, responders took the motorcyclist to the hospital and he was later taken to the intensive care unit.

Also, by 5:40 a.m., the traffic flow has resumed to normal.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.

Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
