PHOENIX, AZ (December 18, 2023) – Early Saturday morning, a crippling hit-and-run crash on 51st Avenue and Thomas Road injured 1 person.

The incident happened at about 1:45 a.m, just south of 51st Avenue and Thomas Road intersection.

According to reports, a vehicle struck and seriously injured a man.

Upon officers’s arrival, they located an injured man down on the road. Thus, responders took him to the hospital with critical injuries.

Reports said that the man might have been crossing 51st Avenue mid-block when a vehicle driving southbound hit him.

After the crash, the vehicle had fled the scene by the time officers arrived. Also, the authorities haven’t disclosed any details about the possible driver or vehicle involved.
