AVERY, CA (October 23, 2023) – Saturday night, a crippling head-on crash near Highway 4 and Howard Court injured 1 person.

The incident happened at around 9:15 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 4 and Howard Court.

According to a concerned citizen, a vehicle drove erratically, which was suspected to be involved in a driving under the influence incident. The vehicle was closely followed by the witness and ultimately resulted in a crash.

Emergency services, including the California Highway Patrol (CHP) and CAL FIRE, responded to the scene. Multiple vehicles were involved, and a white pickup truck collided head-on with another vehicle, scattering debris across the roadway.

Also, a 5-year-old child with a head injury was reported. Emergency medical personnel attended to the injured child and others at the scene. Ambulances were dispatched for transportation to local hospitals.
