2 People Hospitalized in Sacramento Traffic Crash on Interstate 80 and Raley Boulevard

SACRAMENTO, CA (June 11, 2023) – Friday afternoon, a crippling auto accident on Interstate 80 and Raley Boulevard injured two people.

The incident happened at around 12:48 p.m. on westbound Interstate 80 and Raley Boulevard.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a westbound vehicle swerved left across all four lanes of the interstate and crashed into the center median. Then, the force of the crash ejected the driver into the roadway.

Moreover, responders rushed the vehicle driver to a hospital with major injuries. Then, paramedics transported a passenger of the vehicle to a hospital with minor injuries. Also, two more occupants of the vehicle were not hurt in the incident.

Furthermore, officers confirmed that the driver nod off while driving which resulted in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances involved in the crash remained unclear. When additional information became available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
