3 People Hospitalized after Crash on US 60 in Mesa

Mesa, AZ (January 24, 2024) – On Wednesday afternoon, three people sustained injuries in a crash on US 60.

Shortly after 1 p.m., the collision occurred in the westbound lanes of US 60 near Higley Road. 

The Department of Public Safety reports that the crash involved five vehicles, including a pickup truck that ended up on its top. 

Troopers rescued three individuals trapped inside a vehicle, and emergency crews transported them to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

 Mesa Fire officials confirmed that three other individuals escaped the collision unharmed. 

At the scene, video footage captured first responders working to clear the blocked three right lanes. The freeway reopened shortly before 3 p.m.

Further investigation to determine the circumstances of the crash is ongoing.
