Police Investigate Fatal Crash on the 1100 block of Airport Park Boulevard in Ukiah

Ukiah, CA (May 9,2025) – A pedestrian died in a crash on the 1100 block of Airport Park Boulevard.

On May 5, 2025, at approximately 3:06 PM, Ukiah Police Department (UPD) officers responded to a report of a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision in the parking lot of a gas station/convenience store.

The initial report described the incident as a hit-and-run. However, when officers arrived, they discovered that the driver involved had remained at the scene.

They found an adult female pedestrian lying on the ground in a parking stall in front of the business. Emergency medical personnel also responded to provide aid to the injured woman.

As they investigated, UPD officers learned that the pedestrian had stumbled and fallen just before the collision.

While she was still lying on the ground, the driver of a vehicle attempting to park at the business struck her.

The woman sustained serious injuries, prompting her transport by air ambulance to a trauma center outside the area.

The following morning, UPD received notification that the woman had succumbed to her injuries.

UPD Detectives, along with a Traffic Officer who specializes in collision investigations, are actively investigating the incident.

They will determine whether any criminal conduct occurred on the part of the driver.

UPD remains committed to keeping Ukiah as safe as possible. To stay informed about crime and safety in your neighborhood, residents can sign up for phone, cell, and email alerts by clicking the Nixle button at www.ukiahpolice.com.
