Bicyclist Killed After Crash on North Sam Houston Parkway in Houston

Houston, TX (June 28, 2024) – On Friday morning, a 53-year-old bicyclist died in a crash on North Sam Houston Parkway.

An 18-wheeler hit a bicyclist near the Beltway Friday morning, resulting in the cyclist’s death, according to the Houston Police Department. 

The crash occurred just before 6 a.m. along the North Sam Houston Parkway East service road and West Hardy Road. 

The driver of the 18-wheeler failed to stop and render aid and is now wanted by police.

A witness called 911 to report the crash, but paramedics pronounced the 53-year-old victim dead at the scene. 

His identification is pending verification by the medical examiner’s office.
