Pedestrian Dies After Crash on Laguna Canyon Road in Long Beach

Laguna Beach, CA (September 5, 2024) – On Thursday, a 33-year-old pedestrian died in a crash on Laguna Canyon Road.

The accident occurred around 5 a.m. in the 20600 block of Laguna Canyon Road, south of the 73 toll road and near Laguna Coast Wilderness Park, according to police.

Authorities reported that the victim, whose identity has not yet been released, died at the scene. 

The man was crossing Laguna Canyon Road outside a crosswalk, heading toward a shelter for transients, when the vehicle hit him.
