5 People Hospitalized After Crash on East Orem Drive in Houston

Houston, TX (May 30, 2024) – Early Thursday, 5 people sustained injuries in a crash on East Orem Drive.

 Reportedly, a police chase in southeast Houston ended in a crash that sent five people to the hospital, according to the Pasadena Police Department. 

The incident occurred around 12:45 a.m. The chase began near Spencer Highway in the Pasadena area and concluded on East Orem Drive near Telephone Road, lasting approximately 10 to 12 minutes.

Pasadena police reported that the chase started when officers attempted to stop a car that had been reported stolen. 

The driver fled, eventually crashing and flipping the car onto its roof. 

Officers administered first aid to the five occupants of the car, who were subsequently taken to a nearby hospital. 

Their conditions remain unclear.

No officers were injured in the incident.
