San Fernando Valley, CA (March 21, 2024) – On Wednesday night, a 2-vehicle crash on Coldwater Canyon Avenue left injuries to several people, including a pregnant woman.

Dashcam footage shows a white Mercedes Benz running a red light at high speed in the San Fernando Valley and colliding with an SUV driven by a woman late Wednesday night. 

The Los Angeles Police Department reported the crash occurred just before 11 p.m. at the intersection of Coldwater Canyon Avenue and Saticoy Street in Sun Valley. 

The SUV’s dashcam footage vividly captures the Mercedes speeding through the red light and causing the violent collision moments later. 

KTLA obtained video of the crash’s aftermath, showing the Mercedes heavily damaged, with the Saticoy Street traffic light pole knocked down upon impact. 

The vehicle lost both its front and rear driver’s side doors, along with the rear passenger side door. The SUV also sustained significant front-end damage. 

Los Angeles Fire Department medical personnel responded to the scene, where RMG News reported that three Mercedes occupants, including a pregnant woman, were hurried to the hospital by ambulance. 

Their conditions were initially unknown, while the SUV’s driver reportedly escaped injury. Traffic was blocked at the intersection as LAPD’s North Hollywood Traffic Division detectives and crews investigated the collision’s cause and cleared the scene. 

It remains uncertain whether drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.
