2 Motorcyclists Dead After Crash on 8th Avenue in Fort Worth
Fort Worth, TX (May 9, 2024) – Police said a car and motorcycle crash on 8th Avenue in central Fort Worth resulted in the deaths of two motorcyclists on Wednesday.
Fort Worth police responded to the crash at 11 p.m. on May 8 in the 2700 block of 8th Ave. in southcentral Fort Worth, according to a press release from the Fort Worth Police Department.
The incident occurred after one motorcyclist lost control, causing the crash. A second motorcyclist also lost control and became involved in the crash, police reported. Both motorcyclists later succumbed to their injuries. The Fort Worth Fire Department provided medical care at the scene, according to police.
The Traffic Investigation unit is investigating the incident. Police said they would release victim information once they have notified the next of kin.
