2 Dead in Reno Auto Accident near Moon Rocks Recreational Area
RENO, NV (May 23, 2023) – Saturday night, a devastating rock crawler crash near Moon Rocks Recreational Area killed 2 people.
The incident happened at about 7:30 p.m. near Moon Rocks Recreational Area.
Moreover, the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, Search and Rescue Team, and detectives all came to the crash scene.
Upon the deputies’ and volunteers’ arrival, they located a rock crawler that had overturned while driving over extremely rugged terrain.
Then, the authorities declared two people dead at the scene. Meanwhile, one of the parties involved sustained a broken arm while another suffered a head injury.
Responders took them to Renown Hospital for treatment, but their condition remained unknown at this time.
The Truckee Meadows Fire Protection District and the Bureau of Land Management also came to the scene.
