Fatal Car and Motorcycle Crash on Highway 33 Leaves Ventura Man Wayne Ortman Dead

 
Ojai, CA (May 27, 2020)– Wayne Ortman died in a major crash on Highway 33 in Ojai on Monday morning.
 
California Highway Patrol received reports about the crash on May 25 around 10:15 a.m. Reports said that the crash took place on Highway 33 above Ojai.
 
Ventura area CHP and Fort Tejon arrived at the scene and found the wreckage from the crash. They also found the injured body of Mr. Ortman.
 
The investigation showed that the motorcyclist, a 35-year-old Wayne Ortman from Ventura, was traveling southbound on Highway 33.
 
Moreover, a 2007 Subaru was on the northbound dirt shoulder of Highway 33 turning onto southbound.
 
Suddenly, the motorcycle hit the Subaru in its right-front passenger door. As a result, Ortman sustained fatal injuries.
 
Two occupants of the Subaru suffered minor injuries. Both of them, who were from Oak Park, was transported to Ojai Valley Hospital.
 
Police believed that alcohol or drugs did not contribute to the crash. An investigation is currently on-going.
