Copperas Cove Man Manuel Moreno Dies in Collision on FM 116 [Copperas Cove, TX]

Copperas Cove, TX (September 20, 2024) – Manuel Moreno of Copperas Cove lost his life following a vehicle collision on FM 116 Thursday morning.

It was about 4:25 a.m. when the fatal two-vehicle crash happened near Lonesome Oak Road.

Investigators determined 2015 GMC Acadia drive by a 34-year-old man, also from Copperas Cove, was southbound on FM 116. Troopers stated the GMC crossed into the northbound lane and collided head-on with a 2020 Nissan Altima driven by Manuel Moreno. 

Unfortunately, Manuel Moreno was killed at the crash scene.

Meanwhile, the GMC driver was hospitalized with non-incapacitating injuries.
