Worker Hospitalized after Construction Site Accident near Van Sickle Bi-State Park
SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA (July 24, 2018) – A man was injured Tuesday morning following a workplace accident on Lake Parkway.
As per reports, the incident took place shortly before 7:30 AM at the Gondola Vista condo project. The victim was in a manhole near Van Sickle Bi-State Park when another worker reversed over him.
The worker, described as a man in his mid-40s, sustained critical injuries to his chest and his shoulder. He was rushed to the Renown Medical Center in Reno for further treatment and evaluation. His identity and condition were not immediately disclosed.
Tahoe Douglas Fire confirmed that no charges have been filed at this time. An investigation will be conducted by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and a fine may be imposed following its conclusion. No other information has been released to the public.
