Police Investigate DUI Crash on Maple Avenue in Fresno 

Fresno, CA (February 21, 2023) – Tuesday night, a community service officer sustained injuries in a DUI crash on Maple Avenue.

The crash in Fresno happened around 7:30 pm on February 21 in the area of Maple and Belmont avenues.

Fresno Police said the officer was blocking the roadway with her vehicle as crews worked to clear a downed tree in the area. 

Then a suspected DUI driver rear-ended the officer’s patrol vehicle.

The officer was taken to a local hospital with back pain.

EMS also transported the suspected DUI driver to a hospital with unknown injuries. 

Further investigation is ongoing.
