William Jansen Involved in Traffic Crash in Midland County

 Midland County, CA (January 23, 2023) – At about 7:32 a.m. on January 21, Colton Turner, 22, sustained fatal injuries in a Highway 349 vehicle collision.

The fatal collision took place at about 16 miles south of Midland.

Investigating officers said William Jansen, 66, was driving a trailer in a private drive west of freeway wherein Colton Turner was traveling south.

Reports said Jansen failed to yield right of way from a private driveway and entered Highway 349 making a left turn.

Jansen’s vehicle collided with Turner’s vehicle.

Unfortunately, the Midland EMS declared Colton Turner dead at the scene.

Officers are investigating the fatal traffic crash in Midland County.
