11-Year-Old Girl Injured in Elko Pedestrian Accident on Butte Street
ELKO, NV (August 10, 2022) – Sunday afternoon, authorities arrested Colton L Owen in a pedestrian crash on Butte Street.
According to the West Wendover Police Department, the incident happened at around 3:52 p.m. on Butte Street.
Reports revealed that a westbound Toyota Tacoma struck an 11-year-old female pedestrian for still unknown reasons. Then, the force of the crash lifted the victim into the hood of the vehicle. Then, it threw them onto the roadway. Moreover, the suspect’s vehicle struck a large rock after the initial incident.

Furthermore, officers arrested the vehicle driver, 32-year-old Colton L. Owen with suspicion of DUI resulting in substantial bodily harm, no proof of insurance, failure to decrease speed or use due care, failure to change name or address on driver’s license, and resident with nonresident driver’s license with a $100,000 bail.
Meanwhile, the incident remained under investigation.
