Tractor Trailer Crash on Mile Marker 27 Kills Ford Driver Cole Thayer
Austin, NV (July 30, 2022) – On Friday, 22-year-old Cole Thayer of Austin, lost his life in a head-on collision on US 50.
It was about 4:25 p.m. when the fatal incident took place in the area of mile marker 27 about 3 miles east of Austin.
According to the investigators, a Freightliner tractor-trailer was traveling too fast to negotiate the curved roadway. Reports say the tractor-trailer drove across the opposite lane where it struck the front of a white Ford pickup and pushed it off the roadway.
Sadly, the Ford truck driver, Cole Thayer, succumbed to his crash injuries.
Moreover, the paramedics transported the Freightliner driver for medical treatment of minor injuries.
