Cody Yates of Woodinville Killed in Tragic Hit-and-Run on Highway 92 [Everett, WA]

Everett, WA (February 25, 2025) – Woodinville resident, 34-year-old Cody Yates was killed early Monday morning after a tragic hit-and-run on Highway 92.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the fatal crash happened between Crooked Mile Road and 84th Street at around 4:30 a.m.

Reports say that the hit-and-run driver fatally struck a male pedestrian on Highway 92 near milepost 6.

Authorities reported that Yates was walking east along the right shoulder of the highway when a vehicle hit him and continued driving east. Authorities pronounced Yates dead at the scene.

Troopers temporarily closed part of the highway for the investigation, which remains ongoing.
