Three Injured in Four-Vehicle Crash on Bullard Avenue

Clovis, CA (October 1, 2020) – Wednesday afternoon, a Clovis Police officer and two drivers were hospitalized after a four-vehicle crash on Bullard Avenue.

The crash happened at about 4 p.m. on September 30.

According to reports, the officer pulled over on the right shoulder of the road, trying to remove a box that was a traffic hazard in the roadway. Then for unknown reasons, the two vehicles crashed into his patrol car, pushing it into him.

The Clovis officer and the two drivers then transported to hospitals with minor injuries.

Moreover, police say a fourth vehicle was also involved.

Crash rates in California continue to increase, rather than decrease, despite the additional safety features on newer vehicle models. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), two out of three motorists will be involved in an injury accident during their life. Though we don’t want this to happen, it is still vital to know when to proceed if you or a family member is involved in a similar car accident.

It is also recommended to use a ride share app if you can’t safely operate a vehicle to avoid this kind of accident.
