Huntington Beach, CA (January 20, 2021) – On Tuesday, police arrested 35-year-old Eric Kinser of Sunset Beach in a fatal DUI crash on Pacific Coast Highway.

Authorities responded to the crash scene at about 6:45 p.m. at the intersection with Warner Avenue.

When they arrived, they located three vehicles with extensive damage in the southbound lanes.

After investigation, police determined Kinser drove a white 2007 Dodge Ram pickup truck and crossed over the center median into southbound lanes of traffic.

As a result, his vehicle crashed head-on with a silver 1999 Toyota Solara, driven by 19-year-old Mitchell Tyler Wade, of Newport Beach.

Then, his vehicle collided with a white 2012 Lexus RX350 driven by 71-year old Huntington Beach woman, Cindy Zervos.

Unfortunately, the authorities pronounced the Lexus driver dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, responders rushed the Toyota driver to UCI Medical Center, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Responders also took a 45-year old female passenger from the Lexus to OC Global Medical Center.

Lastly, rescuers transported Kinser to UCI Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. Then, authorities arrested him on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
