Chrysler Occupants Killed in Tragic 2-Vehicle Collision on Jackson Highway [Sacramento, CA]

Sacramento, CA (December 15, 2023) – Two Chrysler Occupants lost their lives in a 2-vehicle collision on Jackson Highway Thursday night.

It was about 8:20 p.m. when the fatal collision unfolded near Excelsior Road.

CHP officers said a man was driving an eastbound Ford F-250 on Jackson Road while another man was driving a westbound Chrysler Town and Country on the same road. The Chrysler has an adult female passenger.

Suddenly, the Ford swerved to the left into the westbound lane and crashed into the Chrysler head-on. 

Sadly, the Chrysler’s driver and passenger both sustained fatal injuries while the Ford driver incurred minor injuries. 

Investigators do not believe alcohol and or drug played a role in the collision.  

Meanwhile, Caltrans had a hard closure on both the eastbound and westbound lanes of Jackson Road for approximately one to two hours as they cleared the scene.
