34-Year-Old Killed in Summerlin Parkway Truck Accident
Las Vegas, NV (March 11, 2020) – On Tuesday afternoon, a 34-year-old man identified as Christopher Vandenbergen of Las Vegas was killed in a fatal vehicle crash on Summerlin Parkway.
The Nevada Highway Patrol recounted that Vandenbergen “entered the truck’s travel lane” from the shoulder as the truck was positioned eastbound on the parkway, east of the Rampart Boulevard exit.
The accident occurred at about 2:35 p.m.
Emergency personnel took Vandenbergen to University Medical Center after the incident for immediate treatment. However, the staff pronounced him dead on Wednesday morning at about 7:30.
Meanwhile, the Republic Services truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the police investigation.
The agency added that the investigation was ongoing as of Wednesday afternoon. No further information is available.
