2 Car Collision on Highway 43 Kills Christopher Ortiz

 
McFarland, CA (June 26, 2020) – Just after 3:30 on Friday morning, Christopher Ortiz died in a 2 car collision on Highway 43.
 
The driver of a BMW traveling westbound on Sherwood Avenue failed to yield to a Dodge Ram pickup. Moreover, the pickup travelled northbound on Highway 43.
 
As a result, the two vehicles collided with each other.
 
Subsequently, authorities are still looking to see if the driver of the BMW failed to stop at the intersection before entering.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the BMW suffered fatal injuries from the accident, while the driver of the Dodge pickup was uninjured.
 
Later in the day, the Kern County Coroner’s Office revealed the deceased as 34 year-old Christopher Ortiz, of Wasco.
