Christopher Mota and Three Others Die After Car Plunges off of Carquinez Bridge in East Bay

 
Crockett, CA (June 17, 2020) – On Tuesday night, four people, including 21-year-old Christopher Mota, died after the SUV they were in veered off the freeway.
 
More specifically, the incident occurred on June 16 at around 8:40 p.m.
 
The young adults drove in an Infiniti SUV eastbound on Interstate 80.
 
For reasons unknown, the SUV veered off of I-80, over a concrete barrier, and off the Carquinez bridge, east of the exit on Pomona Road.
 
The vehicle fell onto an unoccupied, stationed freight train, then landed on the ground by the edge of the water.
 
CHP received dash cam footage of the incident from a witness.
 
Furthermore, authorities arrived and declared all four dead at the scene after serious extrication.
 
Christopher Mota, a resident of Rodeo, was one among the four fatalities.
 
Only two others have been identified, including Kyle Erickson, 19, and Perla Navarro, 19.
