1 Person Killed in Lakehead Auto Accident on Salt Creek near Statton Road

LAKEHEAD, CA (December 1, 2024) – Friday morning, Christopher Ainsworth was involved in a fatal single-vehicle crash on Salt Creek.

The incident happened at around 11:30 a.m. on Salt Creek near Statton Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, an eastbound white Jeep Cherokee lost control for still unknown reasons, crashed, and rolled over.

Moreover, responders transported a female passenger of the vehicle, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics transported the driver of the vehicle, identified as 45-year-old Ainsworth, to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Furthermore, officers do not believe that drugs or alcohol played a role in the incident.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
