Huntington Beach Woman Christine Gonzales Struck and Killed in Talbert Avenue Crash

 
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (March 11, 2021) – Monday, Christine Gonzales died following a pedestrian accident on Talbert Avenue and Bell Circle which happened on March 6th.
 
At around 6:55 p.m. on March 6, authorities responded to a crash involving a gray 2015 Nissan Murano that hit a pedestrian. The incident transpired on Talbert Avenue, east of Bell Circle.
 
When the officers arrived, they found the pedestrian that was struck lying in the road with major injuries. Thus, a Huntington Beach Fire Department ambulance transported the patient to a local trauma center in critical condition.
 
Meanwhile, the driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative with the investigation. Moreover, the authorities do not believe that alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash.
 
On the other hand, a preliminary investigation determined that the pedestrian tried to cross Talbert Avenue outside of a crosswalk. Then, the westbound Nissan hit her on Talbert Avenue.
