1 Person Dead in Oakville Auto Accident on Baumgartner Road at Blackforest Drive
OAKVILLE, MO (May 8, 2025) – Tuesday night, Christine Decker was killed in a fatal head-on crash on Baumgartner Road.
The incident happened at around 7:00 p.m. on Baumgartner Road at Blackforest Drive.
According to reports, an eastbound vehicle that fled from an earlier crash crossed the center line and collided head-on with another vehicle.
Moreover, responders rushed an occupant of the other vehicle, identified as Decker, to an area hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Furthermore, officers arrested the driver of the suspect vehicle, identified as 37-year-old Gavin Kolley, for first-degree involuntary manslaughter and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage exceeding $1,000.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the St Louis County Police Department Bureau of Crimes Against Persons and Accident Reconstruction detectives continued investigating the crash.
