12-Year-Old Passenger Dies in Houston Police Chase Collision
Houston, TX (January 11, 2023) – On December 31, Christian Rayo, 27, was arrested in a Barker Cypress Road fatal collision.
At about 8:25 p.m., officers with the Harris County Precinct 5 Constable’s Office tried a traffic stop on a maroon Toyota Camry driven by Christian Rayo for speeding near the Katy Freeway.
Rayo refused to stop at a red light on Park Row Boulevard and struck a black Jaguar X-TYPE that was turning onto Park Row.
Immediately, the paramedics rushed Rayo and his four passengers, including a 12-year-old girl, to the hospital.
Similarly, the rescuers also took the Jaguar driver to the hospital.
Unfortunately, the 12-year-old passenger in Rayo’s vehicle succumbed to her injuries on January 4.
The authorities booked Christian Rayo in Harris County jail with a charge of murder after he was released from the hospital as a result of the chase that ended in a fiery crash killing one of his passengers and injuring an innocent driver.
