Morning Rollover Crash on Highway 99 in Sacramento Kills 1 and Injures 2

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (May 16, 2019) – One person was killed and two others were hospitalized as their vehicle overturned multiple times Sunday morning in Chowchilla.
 
The crash happened just before 6:30 a.m. on Highway 99 near Highway 152.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle carrying three people was traveling at a high rate of speed while merging west from Highway 99 to Highway 152. The driver failed to negotiate a curve, ejecting all occupants.
 
The right front passenger was pronounced dead at the scene. Ambulance and helicopter took the driver and the rear passenger to Community Regional Medical Center in unknown conditions.
